Surf City Rides the Wave of Voter ID Victory
The California beach city wins big in their voter id battle
I keep telling people California is ripe for a flip, but I am mostly met with eye rolls and scorn.
“The idiots in your state will just vote for different Democrats who will do the same things,” is a refrain often heard.
And therein lies the issue.
I am not convinced Californians are actually voting for Democrats and their endlessly retarded policies. It is no accident that it takes us over a month to count ballots in any given election cycle. Our system is designed for corruption. There are no ID requirements. There is a month of early voting with thousands of unsecured ballot boxes all over the state. A sneaky electoral measure called the Voters Choice Act has eliminated neighborhood precinct counting in a vast number of counties in which it has been enacted, making the county Office of Registrar the lone ballot talliers. Ballot harvesting adds to the opportunities for fraud.
My interview with Marly Hornick of United Sovereign Americans revealed some deeply disturbing findings about California elections and elections in other states. If you haven’t heard it, I strongly encourage you to take a listen. You won’t believe your ears.
There is no trust in our electoral system here in California, and for good reason.
The Orange County beachside city of Huntington Beach (just a few miles down the freeway from me) has been a lone beacon of freedom in the Golden State, with a completely Republican council and administration. They’ve resisted the state on COVID overreach, zoning and, now, voter id. The city council passed a measure to require identification to vote in local elections. They were quickly sued by the state. The Democrat supermajority knows voter id will erase their winning record.
But by this time, Huntington Beach -affectionately nicknamed ‘Surf City’- has been battle tested. They have not accepted any of the resistance coming out of Sacramento and fought the suit in court.
Today they were victorious. The courts ruled the law may stand.
Huntington Beach has been leading the charge against our behemoth state government for years now, but this may be their most influential victory yet. Now, they have paved a path for other cities with the political will to follow. The legal precedent is there. If the state will not allow voter id, individual cities and counties can make it happen on their own.
Every one that can, should.
From the outside looking in, California may seem lost. Huntington Beach’s victory is a strong sign that we are not lost, but in fact are ready to turn a corner. Voter id laws will change the entire political makeup of this state. The Democrats know this, and it’s why they battle so hard against us.
The law of the land, both state and federal, is on our side. If we have the people willing to do the work and endure the battle wounds, we have the chance to flip California.
There’s never been a better time. We’re ready.
Congratulations to Huntington Beach and thank you.
