Democrats Are Right - Words Are Violence
They've been telling us the truth this whole time

For the last decade at least, the clarion call of Cancel Culture has been, “Words are violence!”
We have rightly mocked the progressive weaklings shouting this mantra. Imagine being so fragile that the mere mention of a negative term or word sends you into an anxiety spiral.
We scoff.
“They will lose this civil war they keep threatening in five seconds…no guns, no values, no balls!”
We ridicule.
“They wouldn’t last an hour in a 1992 high school locker room!”
What we didn’t do was believe them.
Last Wednesday night, a man shot and killed two Israeli embassy staff members outside an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were about to be engaged and had planned a trip to Israel to ring in the occasion.
Their murderer spat, “Free Palestine!” at onlookers and cameras as he was lead away in handcuffs.
In a less violent incident, a woman spat on DC US Attorney Ed Martin, as he participated in an interview on the street. She has since been arrested.
Tesla dealerships are being firebombed across the nation and by now we’ve all been party to an endless stream of videos of weirdos attacking random Teslas in parking lots and even on the freeways.
President Trump nearly lost his life to an assassin’s bullet, and suffered at least one other assassination attempt that we know of.
It turns out, Democrats and progressives were telling the truth. Words are violence. But it isn’t our words (on the right) that are violent, it’s theirs. That’s what they meant. It’s what they’ve meant to communicate this entire time.
Of course, for us the idea of words being violent sounds ridiculous. Particularly to those of us in the GenX category. Most everyone, up to the Millennials, grew up in a time when people meant what they said and said what they meant and if you didn’t have anything nice to say then you didn’t say anything at all and if you did say something that wasn’t nice you would be expected to meet the consequences.
If someone wanted to solve a problem with a good smack in the face, they just did. We didn’t have workshops and safe spaces and talking sticks. Words were for wording and violence was for hurting.
But the progressives - the Marxists - have never viewed words that way. In their view, words are “triggers,” a term they literally use to describe being “set off” by an expression. They call it being “triggered.” We even have trigger warnings on YouTube and old movies, in case anyone should be upset by words they don’t like.
Perhaps we should have been taking that turn of phrase a bit more literally.
Because in the world of progressivism, certain words absolutely do TRIGGER violence.
You’re a Nazi!
Free Palestine!
Elon is Hitler!
Trans women are women!
86-47!
It turns out, if these words are shouted enough times by enough lunatics, they indeed do trigger a violent enforcement. When you spend decades telling unstable people they are a mere whisper away from being thrown into concentration camps, you end up creating a class of people who feel justified in any violence perpetrated upon their “enemies.” Nasty words turn into real violence when mentally unstable groups have spent an entire lifetime being told the ends justify the means if those ends are righteous enough.
It turns out, if you shout “Free Palestine!” enough while assaulting Jewish students on their own campuses, eventually someone will let those words be expressed with physical weapons.
It turns out, if you allow antisemitism to fester and boil, “Kill the Jews” actually becomes an ethos of killing Jews.
Amazing how that happens.

I heard from a pastor that the couple were Messianic jews who believed in Jesus. They are in heaven now. What the left is doing to this country is evil and disgusting. I’m not sure how things get better but I pray! Thanks for your continued writings.
