Crimson King: Trump Delivers Roaring Commencement Speech at Alabama
'In America, the impossible is all we want to do'

The times, they are a changin’.
President Trump delivered the commencement speech to the graduating class of the University of Alabama on Thursday night.
Unsurprisingly, there were a few “very concerned” complainers who stepped up, calling for boycotts and resistance or persistence or whatever they’re doing with their red robes these days. But this is the South, and the Crimson community responded with a unified “Bless your heart!”. The University President Stuart Bell told both news shows and the student body that it was a great honor to have the President of the United States address a graduating class, and any school would be foolish to turn down such an opportunity.
The President’s speech was received with great enthusiasm, and ended up sounding more like a rally campaign speech than a traditional commencement. But perhaps, by this point in our MAGA journey, we should all accept that is just who he is, all the time. Whether campaigning or talking to a group of fresh graduates ready to change the world, President Trump is always the same man.
The speech was equal parts inspirational and State of the Union. Trump outlined the successes of his administration, like the border and tariff negotiations, and the failures of the previous administration. He also offered bits of wisdom from his own unique life journey and encouraged graduates to avoid the victim mentality.
"Don't consider yourself a victim. Consider yourself a winner. In recent years, too many of our young people have really been taught to think of themselves as victims and blame people and be angry. Don't be angry," Trump said. "In America, we reject that idea that anyone is born a victim. Our heroes are the ones who take charge of their own destiny, make their own luck, and determine their own fate despite the odds, despite all odds."
The President also reiterated America’s greatest quality of managing the impossible.
So never let anyone tell you that something is impossible—ever, ever, ever. In America, the impossible is what we all want to do best. There is nothing you cannot do if you are willing to fight for it. You gotta fight, fight, fight.
And he couldn’t resist taking a well-deserved shot at the other Crimson university out there.
Graduates of the Alabama class of 2025 standing here before you in this magnificent arena, it is clear to see the next chapter of the American story will not be written by the Harvard Crimson. It will be written by you – The Crimson Tide. Because this is Alabama. And in Alabama you fight, fight, fight and you win, win win. That's what you know how to do.
The speech represents more than a shift in tolerance for the second-term President. It is also indicative of the class shift happening in America right now. The prestigiousness and influence of the Ivy League is fading, along with their academic rigor. The University of Alabama is where the leader of the free world wants to be, not Harvard.
That says something.
It’s impossible to summarize all the greatness contained in this speech. I recommend viewing it yourself. I’ll drop the video below.

RedState’s Jennifer Oliver O’Connell was in attendance to cover the event. You can read her report HERE.
I will leave you to enjoy the President’s remarks with one final remark from the man himself.
You'll remember this day. You'll remember when the guy named Trump was giving the commencement address and he said, "I could do it." And guess what? I think you're going to remember that very fondly. I hope so.
I think they will, Mr. President. I think they will.
