Women are able to engage in every part of civic and public life - military, law enforcement, leadership, corporate headship, etc. Even the world of professional sports has opened up to women in a new and exciting way over the past couple of decades. Women have more access to career and income than ever before.

Even still, with all these advancements, we are treated to a nonstop litany from progressives about the hardships of their sex, race or ethnicity. The drumbeat is always the same - we don’t have what other people have and it’s not fair.

Case in point - WNBA star Angel Reese. Reese recently received one of the highest honors my 8-year-old self could have ever imagined - Mattel has released an Angel Reese Barbie doll. In a press conference where she was asked about it, Reese explained it was a special moment for her. She said when she was growing up, she didn’t have access to dolls and toys that looked like her.

Reese was born in 2008. Not 1950. Not 1970. 2008.

Jeanine John Taele, 38, a resident of the Los Angeles-area city of Downey, was arrested Sunday at the course in Rancho Palos Verdes, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The sheriff’s department said deputies found a loaded magazine with hollow-point bullets in Taele’s pants pocket after they’d been contacted by plainclothes federal agents regarding a suspicious person at 3:28 p.m. Sunday.

“The individual was observed walking throughout the golf course grounds taking photographs and videos and appearing to monitor security-planning activities,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.

Just days before the arrest, the Orange County Fair was thrust into the news for displaying a disconcerting photo (for their art fair) that seemed to threaten President Trump with death.

The photo, titled “The Young Fight” by Alexander Nguyen, pictures a family attending a “No Kings” protest in Torrance, CA. One member is holding a sign that reads “Happy Last Birthday” alongside a caricature of Donald Trump. It also included a child holding a pride flag.

Is it a coincidence that the OC Fair displays a pro-assassination photo and days later a man is arrested in California for an assassination attempt on the President?

Orange County Republican Party Chairman Will O’Neill immediately sent a letter to OC Fair organizers following the revelation of the photo. O’Neill warned against public institutions ‘normalizing’ threats of death and violence against political figures, noting that several of the OC Fair Board members are elected officials themselves.

Public institutions should exercise extraordinary caution before displaying imagery that can reasonably be interpreted as normalizing or trivializing rhetoric surrounding the death or elimination of political figures. Given that the Fair Board has multiple elected officials – including a Trustee of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District (Michelle Murphy) – they clearly know better.

The county Chairman also pointed out this was the first year in a decade the Republican Party of Orange County has been denied a booth space to engage with voters.

Another coincidence?

Residents and attendees are encouraged to contact the OC Fair Board of Directors to voice their concerns.

There is a controversy brewing in women’s professional basketball.

Some bigoted, weak women are insisting on gatekeeping the WNBA. Against whom?

Biological men.

Sophie Cunningham may be one of the most talented and tenacious players in the league, and she may have brought an unprecedented amount of attention to the WNBA, but she’s shown her true colors by insisting on the W part of the WNBA. I mean, what kind of woman does that? Doesn’t she know men are women too?

When she was called out on it, she just doubled down.

HATE HAS NO HOME HERE, SOPHIE! Not in the WNBA. Unless you’re going to hate Caitlin Clark…or the national anthem…or your fans. But otherwise, IT HAS NO HOME HERE.

A few brave WNBA coaches have weighed in, taking the courageous stance to support men on their courts and in their locker rooms. After all, no one in the WNBA is a rocket science biologist. It’s not their call to make. Obviously.

Obviously, a man who says he is a woman automatically BECOMES A WOMAN. Obviously his…sorry, her…obviously her bone and muscle mass decreases immediately, hormones disappear and so does the past. Whatever advantages her male body has had over its decades of use are null and void once you put on a headband and lipstick. What are these WNBA snowflakes so worried about? If they can’t compete, why are they even in a professional women’s league?

Let the men play. Throw open the doors. There are countless players who have been denied the opportunity to play professional basketball because they have been locked…TRAPPED…in the binary of sex. Forced to compete with the men they no longer identify with, their female identities are often weaker and less talented and that isn’t fair. They should be allowed to take their weaknesses and their competitive failures to the women’s league.

Here’s a great example.

In fact, why shouldn’t the entire WNBA be made up of transgender players? What’s the difference, am I right? Sophie Cunningham and her TERF ilk are just a bunch of petty whiners. They’re probably just not good enough to compete against real women.

If the WNBA wants to survive they must reject the bigotry of these jealous, petty biological women and embrace more biological men. If they can’t make the team, they just need to work harder.

Viva la TWNBA! Bring on the men…all of them.

Should we open up the coaching positions as well?

At a recent conference, California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra said something weird and a little cruel.

“All I know is there’s real food in California and there’s real street tacos and you don’t get them in some establishment that’s been around for a long time,” he said. “You get it from the street from the guy who’s been making it for a long time in his little cart.”

Imagine running for Governor of the ‘4th largest economy in the world’ and telling your voters to patronize illegal street vendors over California small business owners, a.k.a. the engine of our entire state. Screw those losers. Their food is bland.

That’s what Becerra did, and yet we are supposed to take him seriously as a candidate.

He has other concerning issues, of course…

Where are the children, Xavier?

But his statement stuck in my craw and I can’t seem to let it go. Becerra is campaigning on the back of Gavin Newsom’s one and only bragging point - our economy - and simultaneously campaigning against the people who provide that bragging point for California…the taxpayers.

But this is the Democrat plan for California in general. It is a concerted effort to lower expectations, kill private business and private property, and unleash chaos on a population that is overwhelmed and unconsidered. As I’ve said many times before, the misery is the point.

A miserable population is a controllable population.

Why do I remember it? I was a child when I saw it. But some of the images were haunting in a way I cannot describe. For over 30 years - THIRTY YEARS - I have thought of this scene...the migrants slowly moving into quaint British towns, peering through windows at unsuspecting families, invading homes, demanding what those fat, rich Westerners have. When I tell you not a week goes by where I haven't thought of it, I mean it.

Not. One. Week.

Watching those Muslim men pouring into Cueta brought it to mind, although I had no idea what it was called. The magic of modern AI led me back to it and I have chills watching this again. Listen to the tv host as he says, "It's a publicly stated attempt to come into our streets, our homes, and shame us into helping them. Or, as they say...WATCH US DIE."

They always tell you what their intentions are. They always tell you what they're going to do. And look at the studio audience in this film. Completely white. Is there anywhere in the UK you can see that anymore? From 1990 to today...that's how long it took to bring the magic of the movies to life. But it's here now.

Yes, they always tell you. In 1990 I would have been 15 years old. 15yo me was hardly conservative. Still, this scene in particular stuck with me and has been locked away in my brain since that moment. Frankly, it's almost a relief to spill it out onto the page finally. I think this flag planted in 15yo me because that little girl was way more intuitive then I've ever given her credit for. 15yo me knew there was something ominous in the presentation, and she filed it away for a time when she wasn't completely submerged in a socialist household. 15yo me saw something dastardly, a warning. I couldn't articulate that at the time. I probably even felt an affinity for the migrants at the time. And yet, this scene has never left me.

Today, I understand. Today I finally see. This was a projection...an announcement. 36 years...

These globalists are patient. They don't mind moving slowly. They've been executing the reality of this film for that long, and now they have arrived. A full scale invasion, much like the premise of this film.

They always tell you.

We need to recognize the long game, and understand that the incremental changes are not to be ignored. They are part of the plan. It may be too late for Spain, for Europe. They did not heed the warnings given by the globalist elites themselves. They are overwhelmed and disarmed.

America: I believe the Lord tattooed my heart with that movie and this scene for this very day - for me to tell you - THIS IS US. WE ARE NEXT. The invasion is coming and it will look exactly as they planned and exactly as they told us.

We have already experienced a bit of this during Biden, but that was a fraction of what is to come. Heed these warnings. It is time to close ranks and protect what is ours. They have already announced themselves. We can no longer be so foolish as to believe they didn't really mean it.

Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Masino has resigned after her disastrous modern ‘rebrand’ of the country-kitsch family restaurant.

As a refresher, the longtime family-style dining franchise launched a rebrand no one asked for last year, and it immediately crashed and burned. Gone was all the character, kitsch and country. It was replaced with modern fonts, clean lines and sterile features.

It’s odd and soul-sucking and it makes one wonder…why?

Why on earth is this the aesthetic and DOUBLE WHY did Cracker Barrel think it was time to change their perfectly fine brand to a sterile echo of millennial decor?

Two words, one picture. Julie. Masino.

What is it with white liberal women and these glasses?

I’ve said it about the weird Antifa looks - blue hair, septum rings, bad skin - and I’ll say it now. This is a uniform.

The reason all the worst (public-facing) women look like this is because it’s a uniform. The colorful hair and the nose rings are the rioter-class uniform. The blond corporate cut and the oversized black, square glasses are the manager-class uniform. Same army, different ranks.

I can’t speak to what specifically it is about those particular glasses, but for whatever reason they have come to signify intellectual and creative barrenness. They say something.

Perhaps:

I’m a professional.

I’m serious but on-trend.

I have all my COVID boosters and few extra for good luck.

I know all the rules and I am dedicated to making sure everyone follows the same rules without question because not following the rules makes you SPECIAL and DIFFERENT and those things create inequality.

We have a ‘Karen haircut,’ but these are the accessory…the Karen glasses.

It is the unavoidable uniform of the indoctrinated. They don’t even know they’re doing it, but it is a sign of their robotic cultural reflexes and lack of critical thinking skills.

Seriously, look at her picture again, and others like her. What does she look like?

This is manager Karen and she knows what you want even when you tell her you don’t want it and then prove it by not buying or participating in what she says you really want. This is the Karen who gave you Dylan Mulvaney, drag queen Guinness, boys in your daughter’s school bathroom, plastic straw and bag bans, etc. She is the hall monitor of adult life.

If she looks like a manager it is because the uniform is a manager’s uniform.

The manager class has invaded corporate America and they have no distinctiveness, no creativity, no vibrancy, and no humanity. They only have rules - for design aesthetics, food service, government and YOU. If the solution is not listed on the clipboard, it doesn’t exist.

Clipboard Karen thought the Cracker Barrel rebrand was going to be celebrated because it erased all the messy, cluttered cheesiness. She imagined the dolts that patronize the restaurant just didn’t understand design, and that they’d be thrilled once the changes took place…that they’d walk into a franchise and look around in awe and say, “Wow! It’s so much cleaner and more orderly! I love all the gray!”

Clipboard Karen and the rest of the manager class didn’t get it because they don’t get America. I wonder if they even get the point of life. Life is messy. Life is full. Life spills out onto walls and counters. It collects nostalgia. It hangs pictures and walks on well-worn floors. Clipboard Karen thinks we want life to be sleek and uncomplicated.

Americans feel otherwise. Sleek is too slick and uncomplicated is for babies.

We build things and break things and we keep things to remember it all along the way. Our nostalgia is our connection to our success. Clipboard Karen hates nostalgia because she hates our past.

This particular Karen seemed to have a decent take on the whole thing. She did go on to admit it was a poor decision, and she regretted it. And now, of course, she is no longer in that position. That is the right thing to do. She seems like a smart and capable Manager. Perhaps her skillset is a better fit for the stores the upper echelon of the Manhattan set frequent.

I hope Masino has learned a lesson about her industry, but even more so I hope she has learned a lesson about America.

I live in Ladera Ranch. That is the “wealthy” suburb (I find that constant descriptor hilariously unnecessary) that is the subject of this mysterious cancer cluster that has found its way to the national news.

This issue is not new. In fact, parents have been complaining about it for years as their children (and pets) have suffered these strange cancers in what should be one of the healthiest communities in California.

Sugar is an enemy here. We bring orange slices and organic juice to our soccer practices. We educate our children on sunscreens, hydration and healthy lifestyle choices. We are a sports community - everyone plays something at some time. You’d be shocked to know how many Olympic athletes were born and raised here- we produce a lot. We have parks everywhere, and our children are extremely active in those parks and playgrounds. We keep them clean and orderly for just that purpose. We love our farmer’s markets and our essential oils and other organic products. Vaccine-hesitancy is the norm. Parents are constantly exchanging tips and recommendations for healthy foods, products and activities.

All that to say - it makes absolutely no sense that this community’s HOA still uses harsh pesticides that almost every other suburb in southern California has banned.

We don’t know if it is the pesticides causing the cancer cluster, but with so many unknowns it only makes sense to shutter the current program and find some alternatives while we investigate the connections.

When it comes to children, ‘Better safe than sorry’ is the primary directive.

There should be an immediate cessation. It should be easy. In a normal world, it would be. The stuff we spray on our lawns might be making us sick? Fine. Simply…stop.

But in the land of big government - California - nothing is simple, and nothing from the government stops.

What should be a very simple matter of someone in charge saying, ‘No, let’s not use that, let’s use this instead while we investigate’ is instead a bloody gauntlet of red tape, runarounds and blame shifting.

The HOA says they are a volunteer board and this is an issue that should probably be addressed by the county (Ladera Ranch is unincorporated). The county says this should be addressed by the state. The state says this should be addressed by the county. The county says they are appealing to the state, and round and round we go, where we stop, nobody knows.

No, seriously. Nobody seems to know where the buck stops.

Two things come to mind as we trudge through the bureaucratic hellscape:

1.Your local government is your most important government. Voter turnout for local offices can sometimes be as low at 10% in some parts of California. I’m willing to bet it’s like that almost everywhere. This means a tiny sliver of people are picking your county board members, your local water and resources managers, and even your HOA boards.

Americans of all stripes have complete meltdowns every presidential election season, but very few know anything about who is running the government right next to them…who is running their neighborhoods. Start paying attention to the local offices and stop making fun of people who run for them. They are not nerds and dorks. They are mostly people who want their towns and cities to run a certain way. You should know what way that is before you hand over the keys to your life and livelihood.

Donald Trump didn’t close your schools and Barack Obama didn’t raise your property taxes. Your local government did that. And while our HOA isn’t a government body, it does have elections. I, for one, am guilty of not paying much attention to them in the past, but I have certainly learned a lesson. I hope we all have, and I hope we apply it.

2.Ladera Ranch is unincorporated. This means we have no governing body to appeal to. We must depend on our state representatives (Thank you, Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez!), county board representatives (boo, Katrina Foley!) and the HOA to resolve or refer issues of governance. Right now, that mostly looks like this:

The good news is, we do have an established community council. The Ladera Ranch Civic Council meets the 3rd Tuesday of every other month.

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council (LRCC) was created in 2009 following the 2007/2008 protest of the placement of a 47-megawatt electrical peaker plant in the community. A group of Ladera Ranch residents united to challenge and ultimately defeat SDG&E’s intention for the substation, defending the interests of the residents and advocating for the greater good of Ladera Ranch.

The LRCC is a nonprofit, private, 501(c)(4), organization that exists to protect, preserve, and promote this beautiful community. The council has no legal authority. It is a volunteer, nonpartisan organization with no agenda other than to help shepherd the maturation of the community.

​We lobby for our residents around topics such as land use and planning and research issues that affect our community like public safety. We advise our District Supervisor at the Orange County Board of Supervisors. We exist to ensure that our community remains an exceptional place to call home.

The LRCC has recommended incorporating Ladera Ranch over the years, and my sources tell me the HOA has been less than cooperative in that effort. You can draw your own conclusions about that but if it’s true, the HOA is actively resisting local efforts to incorporate and yet is unwilling to act with any responsibility when we have a deadly health crisis in our community.

So, what are we supposed to do? Perhaps it is time to revisit the talk of incorporating. I’m not suggesting it’s a solution, but it at least deserves a discussion.

In the meantime, while the LRCC has no official governing powers, they are still a great forum for residents to be heard and mobilized. LRCC is currently working with neighborhood health watch groups to monitor this issue, so it’s a great idea to show up to their next meeting, which will be September 15th. They usually meet at one of our community clubhouses but check the site or IG account lrciviccouncil to stay updated. They may move to a location with a higher capacity.

The conclusion in this case is the same conclusion I reached during COVID, when I decided to run for our school board and our kids…we’re not paying attention.

I’m guilty. A lot of people are guilty. A few people have been keeping the watch, and we owe them our efforts.

Start asking questions of the people who are running for things, and if you don’t like the answers, don’t vote for them. Better yet, vote for the people who care about the things you care about, not just the Presidents you care about.

Republican commentator and Fox News host Guy Benson has just welcomed another baby into his fold via surrogate.

Congratulations abound and he and his partner seem absolutely delighted. I have known Guy casually for over a decade and have worked with him on occasion. He is kind, smart and a really nice man.

So, it’s hard to see the conservative chat-osphere make him into a controversy with his latest surrogate delivery. The Guy I know (and we are only acquainted, not close friends) is a really decent man and someone you’d enjoy hanging out with. It saddens me to see what is clearly an exciting time for him being adjudicated harshly online.

And it saddens me even more to have to say…it doesn’t matter.

*We said goodbye to my mother-in-law this past weekend. It was our second, and final goodbye. Faith Davis was a queen deserving of TWO goodbyes, in two states. I had the honor of delivering her eulogy at both. She was the best woman I’ve ever known, and she made me a better woman by simply letting me stand in light she cast. I asked my father-in-law if I could publish her eulogy and he agreed. I want it to live online somewhere, where people can find it if they want to, and as a lasting testament to the amazing wife, mother and woman of God she was. I hope you get to know her a bit through this, and I hope, in some way, you are moved to love better and be better even through this weak reflection of her. Goodbye, Mom. I’ll see you there.

I was at a conference this week and I had the opportunity to meet a couple of young men who started a health and wellness company. They were in their 20s, intelligent, enthusiastic and motivated. They were offering a presentation to teachers on promoting good health as a part of good learning. I was deeply impressed with them, and when we parted ways I said to one of the young men, “Your parents must be so proud of you.” And he smiled hesitantly. His eyes got wide and he stuttered a bit. “Sure,” he said, apprehensively. I got the sense he did not think his parents were proud, for whatever reason. We certainly didn’t have the time to hash that out. But I took his meaning, and before I could stop myself I reached out to squeeze his arm. “Well, I’m proud of you son,” I said. “You are doing very well for yourself, so congratulations.”

As we parted ways, I realized that was not me speaking to him. That was mom.

That’s who she was and that’s what she would have done. She would have poured her heart all over him.

Faith Davis was the living embodiment of encouragement. Everyone here in this room has a story about feeling encouraged by her. I’ve heard the stories often over the years, and more so since she left us. It is the overarching theme of her life.

Faith was an encourager. She loved.

I asked my husband what was one thing he loved most about this mother. He said, “She was always excited to see me, and she was always excited to hear about my life.” That is a wonderful and perhaps common thing for a son to say. Good mothers are always excited for their children. But it was not a quality exclusive to her own children.

Encouragement was mom’s gift, and you could see it on display every day in her job as a teacher and principal at Spirit of God Accelerated Education (K-8). Everyday, the children who crossed the threshold of her school doors were greeted with that signature Faith Davis smile. I can hear her voice amidst the hustle and bustle of the morning background noise. “Good morning young man. Good morning young lady. Moms, don’t carry the backpacks. We teach our children to carry their own responsibilities!”

Mom’s vision for children was inspired, and wholesome, and rooted in her calling to serve Christ. She taught me that every child is a gift and there are no bad children. Only naughty children. For her, every child was worthy of love, grace and attention. She talked a big game, but disciplining kids was her least favorite part of the job. But, like a good and worthy servant, she understood that discipline was a part of love, and she offered it with the type of grace that only endeared her students to her. Every student felt loved by Mrs. Davis, because Mrs. Davis genuinely loved every student. When the school closed, I know it broke her heart. It was a life passion for her. But the truth is, the difference she made in the lives of hundreds, maybe thousands of students over the years is immeasurable. She quite literally, I feel confident in saying, changed the trajectory of some children’s lives.

Love was more than a feeling for her. It was a vocation.

Her teaching was not limited to the classroom. Mom was always teaching others. She taught me to see the joy in children, in community and in family. She taught me everything I know about being a wife and a mother. She taught others about grace and forgiveness. She was the first teacher for her own children, and their best teacher.

She didn’t have a perfect origin story, a perfect family, a perfect path to her ultimate vocation. But she was smart…smarter than I think many people gave her credit for. She had a sharp mind and a willing spirit, and those two things in combination made for an incredible learning curve. She did not live without failure, but she had the intelligence and the faith learn every lesson. She had the creativity to impart those lessons to others. She was never selfish with her knowledge or advice. Nor was she judgmental.

She loved.

And she was safe. Many of us in this room know the feeling of being unsafe in the presence of another person. Many of us grew up in families where we did not feel safe, physically or emotionally. Many of you in this room right now didn’t even know what ‘parental safety’ felt like or looked like until you met Faith Davis. Her presence always felt like a relief. If no one in the room was on your side, Faith Davis was. If no one would encourage you, Faith Davis would. If no one believed in you, faith Davis did. If you were blessed enough to stand in the splash zone of her radiating warmth, it changed you. You felt different around Mom. And you acted different too.

That’s true power, my friends. That is the power of love, a direct reflection of the Father’s love, weakened by human hosts, but still bright and warm and overwhelmingly comforting when coming from Mom.

Because she loved.

She loved meeting new people, hearing their stories, and learning from them. She loved a good story. Story tellers were her favorite. That’s perhaps why we got along so well. When something happened in our family, she would often say, “Kira, you tell the story! Mark leaves out too many details!” She delighted in delightful people, and found things to delight in when faced with not so delightful people. That is also a gift, and one I have taken from her and covet to this day.

As hard as she loved her students, her love for her own children and their children and her entire family eclipsed that love by miles, centuries, light years. When I saw the joy with which she greeted her own children and grandchildren, and the pride that radiated from her whenever they were around, I realized what a mother’s heart really looks like. It is not moved by circumstance or personal desire. It is not conditional. It is just as God lays it out for us in His word.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it

is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it

is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does

not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,

always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

No one would cheer you on like mom. No one would honor your efforts like mom. And as stupid as we all have been in this family from time to time, she never held a grudge or pushed us away or made us feel like we were disappointments or traitors to our family legacy.

The natural mother is always filled with pride for her pride of cubs, always forgiving, always honorable, always rejoices, always protects, always hopes for her family and always perseveres in her service to them. In the esteem and love of Faith Davis, you were always safe.

She loved.

As a daughter in law, someone who just appeared in this family, she only ever welcomed me, encouraged me, and she trusted me. That trust helped me to grow from a girl to a woman, a citizen to a wife. Before Mark and I were engaged, I visited him in Gary. There was a family cookout and she asked me to run to the store with her. Just the two of us. In the car, she suddenly blurted out, “I’m just waiting on my son to get married and give me more grandchildren!” And then she looked at me, that sweet, beautiful smile stretched across her face. Her eyes were kind. There was no snappiness or animus. Only hope - I hope you will be good to my son. I hope you are serious about him. I hope you are serious about the future because the Davis family has a legacy. She was vetting me for that legacy. We were engaged a few weeks later, so she got what she wanted.

But what SHE wanted wasn’t really for her, it was for her son. Because even as she was still grieving the loss of her two eldest sons, her priority was her remaining son’s happiness. She just wanted to know HE would be ok. Not herself. Him.

There is no greater love than a mother’s love, and Faith Davis was so great at that.

She loved.

She showed me that one need not be an actual birth mother to bestow that love on others. The love she showed her students, and the families and children of her church, whom her husband shepherded for decades, and for her community, made me fall in love with all those people too.

And I went into community service. I served children. I educated children. I became obsessed with encouraging and guiding the children of our community. That was because of her; because she made it seem so good and so righteous. In fact, that conference I was at where I met the young man? It was an education conference. Now, one of my missions is to support the proper and righteous education of our children and the people who teach them. Thanks to mom.

Because she loved.

That’s another quality of mom’s. She inspired you to care. And to encourage. That was her gifting and she used it liberally, and the degree of mourning so many have been thrust into is a testimony to the impact that gift had on those around her. If you knew Faith, she inspired you. If you knew Faith, she made you want to be better. To know Faith was, indeed, to love her, because she made you believe you could and SHOULD love yourself.

She loved.

And that’s another thing Mom taught me. Service - to your job, your family and our God. To be a wife and mother is to be a servant and that’s not always glamourous. In fact, it rarely is, but she did it with so much joy, even while nursing the worst grief. The loss of her sons did not drive her away from love, but drew her closer to it, and I’m so glad for that.

She never once made me feel like an outsider in this family. She immediately embraced me as a daughter, and what a gift for a new wife…to be embraced but not only that, mentored.

When I married, we lived just down the street from her and Dad. She told me, “You’re a wife now. This is no longer my son. He is your husband and I’m going to honor that. I’ll never just drop by, I’ll never insert myself into your business unless you ask, I want you to know I respect your home now, and your marriage. I’m giving you my son and he’s not mine any longer.”

Being married to a Davis man is a singular experience. There is something magnetic and big about our men, and society responds to that. It’s a very unique position and over the years, we bonded over our shared status as Mrs.Davis. Every Mothers Day I would call her, or she would call me, and we would say “Happy Mothers Day Mrs. Davis! Happy mothers day to you too, Mrs.Davis!”

Now I’m the only Mrs.Davis in this wing of the family, but my fervent hope and prayer is that one day I too will have a daughter-in-law to embrace, to welcome, and to call and say “Happy Mothers day Mrs.Davis”. I hope, so very much, that God will bless me with the love and acceptance Mom had. I hope one day, a woman will look at me, and see Faith looking back, ready to love her and encourage her and guide her.

And I want to say that Mom’s love is on full display right here in this front row [today]. This is her life’s work. Her love was so influential, she created a daughter who went into the very business of caring for others. From nursing to beauty care, Cherry has made care her vocation and that’s a direct testament to her mother. And I want to thank you, Cherry, for loving your mother, our mother, and taking such good care of her to the end. She was proud of you and would be proud of you still. Thank you for reflecting her to her in her final days.

You love….because she loved.

It’s so hard to wrap up all this love in one speech. But I don’t have to. Look around you. Here is all her love. Here is all her commitment. Here is the testimony to her life. Your tears are the proof she was here, she was important, she changed the world.

Do not fail Faith Davis’ legacy by leaving here unchanged in some way. You are not just here to mourn, you are here to face death and to see the answer to death.

You mourn death and fear death because death is not our natural state. We were created to live forever in and with our Creator. It feels wrong to witness death because it is wrong. We are fallen, but o death, where is thy sting? Our Savior has come to rescue and relieve, to reclaim and restore but only for those who see Him and believe Him.

If you’ve ever wished to be more like Faith - kinder, softer, more joyful, more accepting, a better wife, a good mother, a great friend - if you have ever thought to yourself “Man, I wish I could be like that.” …just know, you can be. What you saw in her was the love of Jesus Christ, the purpose of God. When people say “Let Jesus shine through you” they mean what you saw in Faith Davis. She shone so bright because she loved her Lord more than anything.

You can be that, but you must choose God. There are no other paths to love, and no other paths to everlasting life, no other paths to HERE, a funeral that is not really a goodbye but an “I’ll see you soon.”

You cannot have this comfort if your heart is closed to the Lord, so if you are struggling with the idea of God, don’t leave here today without making the choice to seek Him. You’ll never be anything like Mom if you don’t.

In closing, Mom would say (I think):

To her friends - be hospitable and open your heart to see the potential in everyone, especially every child.

To her extended family - love each other and protect each other, because we’re who God gave us to survive this strange and sinful world.

To strangers - don’t be mean and don’t be stupid and carry your own backpacks. Come to the table, the table God provided and eat and be full.

To her children and grandchildren - you were my pride and my joy and I only ever saw who you could be so please, please…go be that. Honor me with that.

To her husband- our love resides in the whispers, in the cracks and the crevices, in the dark places that only you and I know. Our love will be our secret, only shared by the Lord. And isn’t that so special?

And to all of us she would say - don’t be sad for me.

No I’m just kidding, she always said she wanted people to wail and moan and be VERY upset at her loss. We talked about it often on and off over the years, how we wanted our ends to look. She always said, “I hope people are wailing and falling out and I want gnashing of teeth!”

But really, what she wanted was to be remembered. So as we leave here today, let us go in remembrance of Faith Davis, and remember her together. Share your stories. Enjoy the lingering aroma of her presence. Shed a few tears (she’d like that) but share joy. And love each other. And serve each other. And above all, serve the Lord, for he is Good. He is Love.

Goodbye, mom. I know I speak for everyone when I say, thank you for loving us. Thank you.

I’m in Dallas this week at the Teacher Freedom Summit, hosted by the Teacher Freedom Alliance (TFA). The goal of TFA is simple:

Helping teachers

To develop free, moral, and upright american citizens.

We do this by helping educators exercise their First Amendment rights and support the right of every educator in America to pursue excellence in the classroom free of ideological interference.

The landmark Janus v. AFSCME ruling solidified the right of employees to work without fees or dues. In other words, our Constitution allows employees the right to work without having to pay for that right in the form of union fees and dues.

It’s a big deal. Over the last decade, the NEA union and other teachers unions have donated millions and billions of dollars to Planned Parenthood, LGBTQ organizations like The Human Rights Campaign and TheTrevor Project, and 99% of their political donations go to Democrats.

Regardless of how teachers vote or believe, their union dues are often (almost exclusively) commandeered to support social and political change that does not align with their personal values. When those teachers speak up or question their dues, they are ostracized, suspended and threatened.

All this to say…teachers, get out of the union.

Now.

In 2022, I ran for my school board. It turned out to be a brutal loss, but it educated me about the real challenges facing both students and teachers. Previously, I had only been seeing it from the parent angle, particularly as our children suffered through the COVID era.

I heard from so many teachers who told me they were being hamstrung by the unions. Union ‘negotiations’ typically added more stress to the job/classroom and the ideological bent of leadership was overwhelmingly progressive. In fact, non-progressives were (and are) routinely targeted for conservative or right-leaning views, or even simply views that did not pull hard to the left - from LGBTQ issues to DEI/CRT to federal elections. One phrase came up over and over again.

I’m afraid.

I can certainly understand that. Running for school board opened my eyes to the levels union goons will sink to in order to intimidate average parents and taxpayers who dare to question the current public schooling model. I was harassed, followed, and my children were punished in their classrooms for my candidacy. It was ugly.

Fear is an even more valuable currency to the unions than money.

Despite being told over and over again that unions make education better, our outcomes have only cratered in the last fifty years. Sixty to seventy percent of American K-12 students are not proficient in math and reading. My home state of California is currently discussing a return to SAT testing after University of California professors lodged a desperate, public complaint that incoming students were suffering extraordinary ‘preparation deficits’ and it was sinking instruction time.

The kids are not okay.

But the kids can’t help themselves. We adults are responsible for their successes and failures. Like it or not, teachers bear a large bulk of that responsibility - another reason why the passionate teachers do what they do. They want that responsibility.

Unfortunately, union rules and activism have made it nearly impossible for good teachers to do a good job, and it is the children who are suffering.

The only way to reverse this downward spiral in American public education is to starve the unions. Their money - your dues, teachers - is used to support anti-parent, anti-teacher and anti-American causes up and down every state. That money is unlimited and powerful. If you want change, you have to starve the beast.

That means you must leave your union. I have sympathy for the fear. I understand the pressure unions put on teachers who stand out and stand up…but the unions are making trouble, and if you don’t put yourself between that trouble and our children, it will be our children who bear the brunt of that trouble. You can’t teach children if you aren’t willing to protect children. It is probably a large part of why you became a teacher in the first place.

Our Founding Fathers were not professional revolutionaries or politicians. They were farmers, doctors and teachers. They took a bold risk to stand in between danger and the nascent American people. They risked everything, quite literally. They understood their moment in time. It was a moment when good and lowly men were asked to rise above their circumstances and their comfort to secure liberty for all good and lowly men.

We need you to do the same. We need our teachers to be the risk takers. It isn’t fair. You should teach. Teachers teach.

But sometimes, all Americans are asked to sacrifice more, to risk more, even if they are not the type to engage in risk. Our children are in desperate need of warriors. The union machine is crushing them, and it is no longer enough to just have good teachers sprinkled throughout the system.

The entire system is corrupt and has been designed to corrupt our children.

We cannot stand by and let that happen. You cannot stand by. Now is the time for courage.

Will the unions fuss? Yes. Will you be uncomfortable and perhaps even threatened? Yes.

Should any of that matter to our children? NO.

Children should not be asked to bear the burden of adult agendas or adult fears. If you are resigned to going along to get along, you are saying “This is their problem for their future.”

You wouldn’t say that to your own children. Please don’t say that to mine.

Groups like TFA are here to help, and it’s why I’m at the Summit this week. I want to learn how to help the good teachers out there stand up and be heard. I want to encourage teachers to take back control of their jobs.

TFA is one organization that will walk with you through the process of leaving the union. They can help you find insurance, legal help and courage.

I know this doesn’t sound very friendly, but it must be said: if you aren’t willing to starve the union of control of our kids, then perhaps you should leave the public teaching profession. That’s another way you can starve the beast. Either way, I beg of you not to let our children be the victims of your fear.

We are no longer in a time when good people can fly under the radar and mind their own business. We are now at war for the soul of our nation and the minds of our children.

Leave your union. Be brave. Take the slings and arrows. Do what you are asking others to do on your behalf - fight. Trust the Lord for provision and your fellow activists (like TFA) for support.

Fight.

Today, Julie Collier - an Oklahoma teacher and TFA consultant - hosted a press conference to read the Teachers Declaration of Independence, declaring teacher independence from the union beast (you can see activist Corey DeAngelis in the background as well). Teachers lined up to sign a symbolic copy. I encourage you to do the same, either literally (reach out to see if you can get a copy for your own group of rebels) or figuratively. Make the choice. Get in the battle.

It’s a frustrating dilemma. The AI era is unavoidable. This is the terror of “human progress.” Artists have been warning of the rise of machines forever.

We are fools to ignore the threat AI poses to human flourishing. From eliminating jobs to eliminating human artistic expression, the AI threat to humanity takes on many forms alongside the myriad of advancements it offers.

I’ve been watching the approaching era with nervousness and trepidation. Is this the end of human flourishing?

I’m happy to report it may well turn out we are entering a new era of human dominance, but not in the ways one may think. Not in the Elon Musk vision of a world where no one need work to eat and AI covers all of our material needs (humans are built for work and not working is anti-human).

It seems there is a human rebellion afoot. As it turns out, we don’t like the uncanny valley of soulless AI entertainment. It’s fun for political ads, but no matter how good it is, it creates an unsettling undertone when used for creative expression…human creative expression.

It is so unsettling we have a name for it now - AI slop.

Humans are rejecting it. There will always be a place for slop in the human experience, AI or otherwise. Slop is sin-adjacent and we’ve always been drawn to sin. But a counter-movement of organic entertainment and activism is growing.

There is a hunger for authenticity these days like I’ve never seen before.

Take the meteoric rise of Spencer Pratt. He isn’t polished or scripted and he doesn’t speak in $10 words designed to obscure meaning. His unexpected mayoral candidacy was so effective because it was authentic. Pratt spoke like an average man and shared our same frustrations with the political class. That resonated on a level Democrats could not replicate.

Some may forget that his shocking popularity came on the heels of the fakest presidency and the fakest presidential candidacy in American history.

We all remember ‘don’t believe your lyin’ eyes’ Biden, but don’t forget about the role celebrity fatigue played in the epic crash of Kamala Harris’ campaign. Everything about it felt phony…from Cardi B flubbing her lines to Megan Thee Stallion gyrating for Kamala to rumors of Beyoncé performances that never materialized. And we can’t forget fake man fake coach Tim Walz, with his fake joviality and weird hand-waving.

America was exhausted with all of it, and Trump’s awkward authenticity proved to be what moved voters most.

Spencer Pratt rose as high and as quickly as the traditional Democrat campaign model sank.

Texans are finally beginning to push back against the invasion of the fake religion of Islam…and others are following their lead.

Independent artists, thinkers and writers like me are connecting with audiences directly, bypassing the traditional, manufactured entertainment media system.

The young people are gravitating towards more analog activities - vinyl, typewriters, landlines and yes, books. They are shedding the burden of COVID isolation in favor of in-person social gatherings, despite the “COVID experts” promising public socializing would be a thing of the past. Isolation would be the new normal.

The American spirit is stronger than we think, and the human spirit is stubborn; we were created to reign.

AI is a force to be reckoned with and there will always be humans ready to sell out our race to it. But we should take heart in the hunger of humanity - our hunger for truth, connection and purpose. We know how to recognize ourselves in our creations, and that may be the very thing that helps us resist the darker developments of our AI era.

I’m in the Book of Numbers this week, and I was struck by something that I’ve probably heard off and on over the years, but never really absorbed until just now.

Numbers follows Leviticus, and opens with a continuation of the procedures and rituals laid out for the Israelites by the Lord. It’s not the most action-packed reading, but if you read it through the filter of every law and command ultimately being a faint reflection of the function of the coming Christ, it becomes much more interesting.

One thing I have come to appreciate on this latest re-read of the Bible (particularly the Old Testament) is that God does not waste any space. There are only so many words The Good Book can contain. If there is a command or a phrase or a ritual that is repeated over and over again, it’s not just the authors trying to boost their word counts. It means something God wants us to know.

The Lord is not wasteful and He certainly isn’t a rambler.

In short, I wondered if and when American citizens should revolt in the case that they can no longer use the law to change the law. I didn’t explicitly call for revolt, but I implied it might be nearing such a time.

Well, it looks like the revolt started without me, and on an unexpected front…Flock cameras. If you don’t know what Flock cameras are, here is AI’s description…AI defining AI, basically.

A Flock camera is an AI-powered license plate reader created by Flock Safety. Frequently used by local law enforcement and neighborhoods, the cameras capture vehicle details—such as license plates, make, model, color, and unique features like bumper stickers or roof racks

Flock says these cameras don’t use facial recognition or other surveillance and data is scrubbed daily.

Americans say otherwise. Flock cameras are becoming increasingly common, and they are often hidden in plain site and can be mistaken for solar panels. Despite the company’s claims, the cameras do offer sweeping and broad coverage of public (and private) spaces that rival the Orwellian European surveillance state.

But something strange and sort of wonderful has been happening recently. Americans are revolting against the surveillance state. A seemingly grassroots group of Americans from across the country has formed a ‘DeFlock’ movement, and liberty-minded men have been sneaking up on these cameras in the dead of night and cutting them down. In some cases, these liberty bandits are leaving behind American flags before disappearing into the dark.

The DeFlock raids started out as isolated cases, but this past week have exploded on the X platform. Raids are being reported from Houston to the Carolinas.

Flock cameras are not simply modern investigative aids. It is warrantless spying and the implications of this technology could bring us into the Minority Report era for good. As X user DC Draino points out, these cameras appeared out of nowhere with barely a whisper in just two years. It happened so fast, Americans didn’t even have a chance to react.

Flock cameras permeated our country in 2 years and there was barely a public pushback until recently. We have work to do. Abolish the Flock cameras. Next, these things will be connected with AI and we’ll live in a full surveillance state. As Americans, we control our destiny.

And that destiny is freedom.

The implications of this sort of surveillance are horrifying and already invading American life. I did a quick search on X and came up with dozens of disturbing examples.

• Cape Coral is considering putting Flock cams on top of trash and city trucks to scan yards for code violations and illegal construction.

• A young woman received a $1250 ticket in the mail for driving with her cell phone in her lap (face down, while driving with both hands on the wheel) after the image was captured from a Flock cam while she was driving.

• A CO woman was actually arrested by police at her home when they claimed Flock cams captured her driving from a crime scene. Despite having video evidence that she was nowhere near the street or the crime, detectives insisted “We have cameras everywhere in that town and you cannot get a breath of fresh air without us knowing" After two days, she was released when it was discovered the camera’s electronic dateline was faulty.

• A FL law enforcement officer used Flock cams to stalk a love interest, listing her vehicle as ‘hot’ so it would be tagged in surveillance.

The list goes on and on.

Activists say they will continue to de-Flock America and I, for one, am glad to see it.

I had wondered when the American spirit would be ready for revolt, but it looks like I was late to the party. The revolt has begun.

Let’s go.

The constant cry of ‘equity’ in modern America has led us to a place where no distinction is made between men and women in the arena of defense and protection. We have been told women are every bit as effective and physically able as a man and any woman who wants to put herself in harm’s way to ‘protect and serve’ should have the right…because she wants it.

I’ve been saying we’re at war for over a year now. I doubled down when Charlie was killed. I tripled down when the ANTIFA weirdos attacked Teslas and ICE and normal Americans just doing their jobs in the streets. I quadrupled down when blue cities like Los Angeles and Seattle repeatedly released violent illegal aliens into the population and refused to prosecute Transtifa weirdos in our communities.

I’ve been accused of being a MAGA lunatic, a cruel-hearted racist (laughing out loud at that one) and cold-hearted. At a recent speaking engagement, a woman approached be afterward to tell me how uncomfortable she was with the language of my speech. “I don’t feel I’m at war with anyone. I have a lot of liberal friends and I still love them and try to persuade them. I don’t feel comfortable with looking at them as people I’m at war with.”

I tried to be sensitive to her predicament. She was an older woman, and perhaps not completely plugged in to what’s been happening on a cultural level over the last decade. She’s not taking children to public schools every day. She’s not working in an office ruled by a tyrannical HR department every day. As a retiree, she no longer lives in the gritty neighborhoods overrun with homeless people and gang activities. She was blessed enough to buy into California early and her enclaves are still hidden away from the worst of it. And I don’t mind that. In fact, I covet that for her. That’s how it should be.

But it does not change her ignorance, an ignorance based in the desire to see America as what it was, not as it is now.

We are at war. I’ve been saying it for a year now. Everyone needs to start taking me seriously.

On July 4th, the war came to Orange county, to one of our wealthiest, most protected, peaceful corners…Newport Beach.

People make fun of the Newport Beach crowd for a reason. They are stereotypically affluent and American. You can still walk down the street at night safely. Kids have beach parties and parents take their kids to the boardwalk alongside the tourists. Prom isn’t riddled with gang signs and twerking…the prom perks that induce eyerolls in Newport Beach are expensive limousines for ungrateful teens and luxurious locations for the event itself. Life is not NORMAL™ in Newport Beach, but it is normal America.

What happened on July 4th was an invasion. Thousands of ‘youths’ from outside of Newport flooded the streets and the beaches, invading neighborhoods and looting and trashing stores. It is something simply not seen in this part of California. We in south Orange County (the wealthiest part of the county) don’t lock our products behind glass doors at CVS. We don’t have metal detectors at the front entrances to our schools. We let our kids run ahead of us at the parks and on the walk to school because it’s safe to do so. We still use our libraries for normal things like reading and studying, instead of drag queen story hours.

This is ideal America.

The troublemakers who showed up on the 4th were not restless teenagers. They were an invading force. Funded and organized by whom? I couldn’t tell you. Likely most of them just saw where to show up on social media, but as we’ve seen with the Antifa and anti-ICE crowd (and the SPLC scandal) these things are typically well funded by outside sources, and those sources are in the business of destabilizing America.

Those teens were sent.

Again, it wasn’t some ‘teen takeover’…it was a declaration.

It doesn’t matter how much you pay to live here or how much you pay for your fancy private schools, you are only as safe as we allow you to be.

We live under the fairly realistic assumption in this part of the state that when we call the police, they will come and protect us. But the police are not the military. They can help you when 10 people bumrush your grocery story. What can they do if 1000 people do it?

Nothing. And neither can you, unless you are willing to take up arms to defend your communities when the need arises.

And I am dead serious about that. If you cringed hearing that, tell me what the alternative is?

I’ll tell you - it’s to stand there and watch total strangers, animals, disassemble your peace brick by brick. Which is what the poor residents of Newport had to do last weekend.

Make no mistake - the police did their jobs, with over 400 arrests made so far. Newport police deserve credit and accolades for their swift and stern response. There simply weren’t enough of them. Again, they are law enforcement, not military. Police are not trained for the front lines of war.

What came to south Orange County over the weekend was war…a violent, invading force.

It isn’t simply the violence of a one-off event like the Newport Beach invasion that is the threat. War is holistic chaos. One front breeds another. When the looters retreat, the activists and the fear-mongers step in to “fix” the problem. Then it is the law-abiding residents who are punished with harsher public gathering laws, restrictions and canceled traditions.

Then there is the issue of distrust. In a region that depends heavily on tourism, residents must be open and friendly to those tourists. Living through events like this makes everyone more suspicious of each other. It turns us from high-trust to low-trust.

The best parts of Orange County operate as high-trust. They’re the places my kids still frequent, the places I don’t worry about for them. Recently my 18-year-old daughter asked if she could meet a friend in Long Beach. My husband and I both immediately said no. Long Beach is not a safe place for a naive and beautiful teenage girl from South County. She was disappointed but she and her friend came up with an alternative - could they meet in Huntington Beach? Yes. Huntington Beach is a high-trust community. Long Beach is low-trust.

The low-trust community invaded the high-trust community and if we want to preserve what makes Orange County high-trust, we must simultaneously resist (and arrest) invaders like the ‘takeover’ gangs and the temptation to restrict our own residents in response.

Short of military action, the only thing we can do to protect our high-trust communities is to deputize ourselves, police ourselves. We must make our peaceful communities inhospitable to the inhospitable.

This is all on purpose. The intent is to “equalize” our communities by making every community a shit-hole. I, for one, am not on board with that. My family and I moved out of the inner city almost 20 years ago. Orange County is our American Dream. We do not pay this much money to raise our children here just to watch that dream turn into the same nightmare we left.

I’ve been asking a question for a few months now, but with particular urgency since the primary elections in California.

If an American state has ‘elected’ itself into communism, and the people of that state no longer have any valid, legal recourse to create change through the election system created for us by our Founding Fathers, at what point are we no longer an American state in a republic? At what point do we either lose that privilege or abdicate that privilege?

I keep hearing people talk about winning the next election but probably losing the next election and then we’ll continue to fight to win the next next election, but I haven’t heard anyone asking what we do when elections aren’t just difficult to win, they are impossible. What do we do when we can’t use the law to fix the law?

California Democrats just delivered a shocking budget, Newsom’s last as Emperor Governor.

A scorpion wanted to cross a river, but it could not swim. It spotted a frog on the bank and asked:

“Would you kindly carry me across on your back?”

The frog hesitated. “No,” it said. “You are a scorpion. If I let you on my back, you will sting me and I will die.”

The scorpion replied calmly, “That would be foolish. If I sting you, we will both drown in the river. I promise not to sting you.”

The Democrat Party has attached itself to the back of a scorpion, hoping for a free ride to permanent victory. We are now watching the scorpion sting its freeloading passenger and no example of that has been more shocking or illuminating than the recent public abuse of progressive alphabet-cultist and Senate-hopeful Scott Weiner, of San Francisco.

Weiner is a horrible human being. He is the legislator responsible for some of California’s most egregious “sexual liberty” laws, including making it legal to knowingly infect someone with HIV and lowering the age of sexual consent for children.

We on the right have been warning our Democrat counterparts not to align with ideologies that place anti-American-life sentiment above everything. Muslim and third-world immigrants (illegal or otherwise) carry with them attitudes and principals that fly directly in the face of American liberty. Almost all of them are antisemitic and anti-Christian. Democrats are aligning with immigrants from countries that throw homosexuals off rooftops and believe women are objects to be owned. Many of those countries still endorse and engage in slavery. Many of those countries deny basic rights like speech and protesting. Their attitudes and beliefs don’t change the second they set foot on American soil. Freedom doesn’t work that way, yet Democrats have thrown their lot in with the foreign activist crowd, advocating for their illegal residency and fighting deportations and American law and order.

So, it was a particularly juicy bit of schadenfreude when, last weekend, Weiner was shouted down and driven out of a Pride festival in San Francisco by the Queers For Palestine crowd - which is basically all of them at this point, in that area of the country. The two movements go hand-in-hand, inexplicably, and Weiner has neither spoken against the union or sounded any kind of alarm. He has only embraced their activism - even as a Jewish man - in service of the only thing that matters to Democrats…power.

And it happened again at local San Francisco restaurant Weiner visited during Pride.

As it turns out, Weiner isn’t far-left enough for the far left crowd he has cultivated. The scorpion has stung him, and the look on his face is the look of a man who is at once confused and deeply afraid.

Of course, we hate antisemitism and bigotry. Of course, we don’t take kindly to the anti-American left abusing and degrading our own citizens. Of course not.

But Weiner is a disgusting human, and I have not seen a better example of ‘you get what you pay for’ than this incident.

The socialists communists and islamists are taking over the Democrat Party and, shockingly, they don’t care for the establishment class that put them there. The Democrat establishment thought they were kings and queens. As it turns out, they were just a bunch of frogs trying to score a free ride to power.

They are poisoned now. They are all Scott Weiner.

We may not like the particular strain of insults, but it is hard to feel sorry for a bunch of reptiles who slithered their way into power and now don’t know how to deal with scorpions they rode there.

Following the DSA sweep in recent New York primaries, Newsom stuck his finger in the air, tested the wind, as saw it was blowing to the extreme left…so that’s where Newsom will blow too.

After vehemently opposing the billionaire tax that has made its way to the California ballot (Newsom indicated he would not sign such a bill), Newsom cut a video on Friday declaring he would support a national billionaire’s tax.

A true minimum tax, a true minimum tax on billionaires that ensures the people at the very top pay at least the tax rate their own workers pay. We also should end this tax free lifestyle loan—this is the gimmick that allows the ultra wealthy to borrow against their stock portfolios while reporting no taxable income.

He also proposed a publicly-owned AI in which every American has a stake.

And as AI reshapes the country, every American should own a piece of the future it builds through a national public equity fund.

Hilariously, Newsom also wants to nuke inheritance windfalls by limiting ‘wealth transfer’ after death. This is ironic considering the base he is courting is largely made up of unemployed, trust-fund babies.

We joke, but it is a disturbing sign of the continued collapse of the Democrat Party. While some, like Van Jones and James Carville, are sounding the alarm (a day late and a dollar short, if you ask me), the Newsoms of the party - the ones with no scruples, principles or core belief systems - are breaking their necks to pivot to the new Democrat base…communists.

He is likely too far ahead of the game at this point. Communism isn’t that popular beyond the coastal blue cities (yet). He’s banking on a base that hasn’t quite yet graduated to national influence. But his pivot is indicative of what Americans can expect from their Democrat candidates going forward.

No Jews.

No capitalists.

No private equity.

No liberty.

If you like your dystopian misery, you can keep your dystopian misery.

Newsom didn’t get away with his blatant ‘pick-me’ move without a little ribbing from the X crowd, all deserved.
